Look Out the Window

Picture This

Processed with VSCO with b1 preset

You are in a car. Jesus is steering the wheel. You are sitting in the passenger side, wondering why you are not moving. You are looking down at your legs, consumed with this picture of being immobile. Your legs aren’t moving. You are simply sitting in the seat, in silence and fear. You wonder if you are missing something–anything.

Now, picture this: Jesus looks at you and smiles. He is pointing at the scenery whizzing past. He simply looks at you with a huge smile and says: “Look out the window.” All of a sudden, you are consumed with who you are with and what you are experiencing with him; and he is loving every second of it with you.

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.” Colossians 2:6-10

Life is not mountain tops & valleys, but resting in what Jesus already did. You’re on the mountain top with him. Life is simply about staying planted.

Hey There

An Introduction

I spent the past week trying to conjure up something eloquent but realized that what I wanted to say for the first post is pretty simple. Jesus keeps things simple! We tend to overcomplicate things at times. So, with that being said, welcome to the site. I am in no way ”techy.” I have never put anything out there, other than an Instagram post. I am in no way looking to make my work or my name great through this. My goal is to point to the Father and His truth that changes His children.

I woke up one morning and I felt the Lord prompting me to put out my photos that I have taken over the past few years. I stopped taking pictures for quite a while, knowing that it wasn’t something that I could make a living off of. However, the Father reminded me that it is still a passion of mine. He wanted me to do this with Him. It is slightly scary to show the pictures that I have hoarded on my phone for so long, but I realized that it isn’t about me anyway! Ha, this is just something that the Father wants me to do with Him. He is so sweet. It is my desire that these photos point to His glory. All the portraits of people that I take will be dedicated to their testimonies and how the Father has changed them. I believe that the Father desires for all of His children to simply abide in His presence and who He is. Life is not about striving to be, striving to make it, or striving to accomplish. Life is simply about abiding in the Father and living in Him and being ONE with Him. Everything else flows from that simple truth.

Colossians 2:9-13 “and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. . . having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him. . .”
John 15:4 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.”
Thrive in Him. Live in Him. Abide and be transformed!
